Recognizing the contribution of entrepreneurship to the economy.

3rd Meeting

Our IDEA club had a great weekend again to review AN INTRODUCTION TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP book by Dr. Eammon Butler this Saturday.

This is the third discussion since its inception in September 2021, and the team was learning more about THE ECONOMIC ROLE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP and THE IMPORTANCE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP to better understand their role and contribution to entrepreneurship.

Club members admit that school textbooks have very little knowledge on entrepreneurship especially in concepts of innovation, competition, and market change, they recommend this book to reach more parents, teachers, and students

.

Read some of their comments;

“It is well known that entrepreneurship is a springboard for development that improves our lives, increases productivity, is employment, has brought competition to create better services and products, and has made life easier, but this education still needs to be emphasized.”

“Recognizing the contribution of entrepreneurship to the economy and development, there must be an enabling environment that leaves business people alone and favors more people to work on their entrepreneurial skills and ideas. Perhaps government/administrative systems or people lack appropriate knowledge about entrepreneurship and its importance. That is why the process, cost and time of establishing legit startups in our country is still a barrier, but in all cases we must ensure that entrepreneurship flourishes , brings jobs and grows our economy. “

IDEA leaders believe that they don’t learn and grow by following rules but by failing over as the author emphasizes in the book, they will continue to take meaningful and calculated risks and uncertainties to contribute changes in business systems and services delivery in the Country.
