This week has been a success again for our organization through its Idea for emerging leaders club at Liberty Sparks offices (mini-library). The club brings together students and young professional leaders every Saturday for two hours to read and discuss books that increase their knowledge on becoming good leaders

Our current monthly review book is  AN INTRODUCTION TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP (translated into Swahili by Liberty Sparks) by Dr. Eamon Butler from IEA; a book explaining entrepreneurship, and its importance to the community and smashing wrong perceptions about entrepreneurship. Idea members believe that this is a perfect book to enhance their entrepreneurship and leadership spirit, as it will help them to add value to people’s lives.

However, among the things discussed in the book were WHY CARE ABOUT ENTREPRENEURSHIP and DIFFERENT VIEWS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP. This helped members to learn things like innovation and economic growth, How to promote entrepreneurship, the importance of competition, and entrepreneurship as the unseen factor for production.

“For the first two chapters we read, the book has revealed to us many things that we thought we knew, after reading it we found that we had no clear understanding of entrepreneurship concept, but now we have one right common understanding,” one member said

Other members proved that: They can now distinguish between entrepreneurship and non-entrepreneurship activities. And because entrepreneurship is all about adding value, grabbing opportunities, and solving challenges in a unique and creative/innovative way, they have no excuse to stop being usual people.

This club believes that upon completion of this book, they will have a mindset transformation that will help to shape the community in matters of entrepreneurship, business, and economic growth.

You can join us this Saturday at Liberty Sparks offices on discussing the ECONOMIC ROLE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP and THE IMPORTANT ROLE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

The platform is real impactful to the youths, society and national economy as well. Reading books and sharing ideas together enhance better understanding of issues and help in transformation of our societies.
I recommend everyone to read the book “msingi wa ujasiliamali” for greater success of our personal business, development of our societies and the economy of our country
