Dkt. Kijaji ahimiza uzalishaji bidhaa zinazokidhi ushindani AfCTA

WAZIRI wa. Uwekezaji, Viwanda na Biashara, Dkt. Ashatu Kijaji, amekishauri Kiwanda cha Kioo Limited kuendelea kuzalisha bidhaa zenye ubora kwa ajili ya Soko Huru la Biashara Barani Afrika (AfCFTA). Aidha, alikishauri kiwanda hicho kuzalisha bidhaa za kioo zitakazotumika kama vifungashio kwa wajasiriamali wadogo ili wahimili ushindani katika biasha}a na kuingia katika Soko la AfCFTA.

Dkt. Kijaji aliyasema hayo  alipotembelea Kiwanda cha Kioo Limited kilichopo Chang ombe, jijini Dar es Salaam.
Alisema Tanzania ni miongoni mwa nchi nane za mwanzo zilizopewa kipaumbele cha kupeleka bidhaa kwenye soko hilo na miongoni mwa bidhaa 10 zitakazotangulia kuanzia Julai Mosi 2023 ni Kahawa, Marumaru na Kioo.

Kwa upande wake Mkurugenzi wa Kiwanda hicho, Kumar Krishnan, alisema wapo tayari kuingiza bidhaa ya kioo katika soko la AfCFTA kwa kuwa wana uwezo wa kuzalisha zaidi ya chupa milioni moja kwa siku ambazo huuzwa ndani na nje ya nchi.

Alisema kuwa kiwanda hicho kinatengeneza kioo kwa kutumia malighafi zinazopatikana nchini kama mchanga, chokaa, felsper na magadi soda kutoka nje ya nchi kwa sasa. Alisema asilimia 40 ya chupa hizo hutengenezwa na mabaki ya chupa zilizotumika hivyo aliwaomba wananchi kukusanya kwa wingi mabaki ya chupa ili kurahisisha upatikanaji wa malighafi ya uzalishaji bidhaa na kutunza mazingira.

Naye, Meneja wa Utawala wa Kampuni hiyo, Kapil Dave, alisema iko tayari kuunga mkono juhudi zozote zinazofanywa na serikali ikiwamo utekelezaji wa Mkataba wa AfCFTA
