People should be educated not to fear competition.

4th discussion; IDEAS CLUB,

Last Saturday, with great enthusiasm, Ideas members, continued to review Dr. Eammon Butler’s Introduction to Entrepreneurship book on the SPREAD OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP and PRODUCTIVE AND UNPRODUCTIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

The issues that sparked the most significant debate were why foreigners seem to do better in entrepreneurship than natives and why the government imposes complex and more restrictions on foreign investors?
Ideas Leaders, after reading the book, they say that;

Foreigners should be welcomed and given a good investment environment in the interest of both the native and the foreigner because the entrepreneurial environment seems to thrive more in the hands of foreigners than natives. Naturally, Foreigners are more likely to take risks than natives; foreigners see an opportunity for something that locals see as cultural or usual. And at the very least, foreigners are doing great things that contribute to the prosperity of entrepreneurship. Therefore, when foreigners discover opportunities abroad, they should be reduced to restrictions and barriers that hinder the development of their entrepreneurship and that of natives.

Bureaucracy and unrealistic development and entrepreneurship policies should not be given priority for the benefit of the few who are jeopardizing their personal interests. People should be educated not to fear competition from foreigners for the self-deceptive politics of maintaining local resources. At the same time, a few benefit politically, and the majority do not get the economic benefits they deserve. Let us understand the great concept of entrepreneurship and investment before we consider the vast profits from investors that kill the entrepreneurial spirit.

Another thing the team has learned is about productive entrepreneurship which is a win-win situation, something that is easy to attract creative and innovative investors. And in unproductive entrepreneurship there is no value added to a person on a next side; laws and policies that benefit the government or the owners of large companies and instructions that do not take into account the rights of the trader or the consumer are an example of unproductive entrepreneurship. Therefore, they should be challenged systematically.

Finally, the team says there is terrible entrepreneurship that affects many people and is not profitable. Some people take the risk of doing illegal entrepreneurship and taking advantage of themselves while causing disasters such as people with creativity to steal, rob, hack, steal, etc. As leaders, it is our responsibility to provide entrepreneurship education that is beneficial to the development of our society and our people.
