Chalinze. Wafanyakazi zaidi ya 3,000 wa kiwanda cha vigae cha Keda (T) Ceramics Company limited, wapo hatarini kupoteza vibarua vyao au kusitishiwa kwa miezi minne kutokana na kiwanda kutaka kufungwa kupisha uuzaji wa bidhaa zilizopo.

Kiwanda hicho ambacho awali kilijulikana kama Tyford, kinatarajia kusitisha uzalishaji kutokana na kupungua kwa mauzo kulikosababishwa na kujaa bidhaa kwenye maghala.

Akizungumza na Mwananchi hivi karibuni, Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa kampuni hiyo, Tony Wu alisema wana vigae zaidi ya mita za mraba milioni 4 kwenye maghala.

“Kutokana na mwenendo wa biashara tukisimamisha uzalishaji kwa miezi minne tunaweza kuuza angalau nusu ya bidhaa na kama ni miezi nane pengine tunaweza kumaliza” alisema.

Wu alieleza kuwa kama kiwanda kingekua kinafanya kazi kwa asilimia mia moja wana uwezo wa kutengeneza mpaka mita za mraba 50,000 za vigae, lakini hawafanyi hivyo kutokana na hali halisi na kwa sasa wanatengeneza wastani wa mita za mraba 42,000 kwa siku.

Akizungumzia sababu ya tatizo hilo, msaidizi wa Wu, Bruce Ni alisema kuna kiwango kikubwa cha vigae kinachoingizwa nchini kutoka China na India na kupungua kwa usafirishaji nje ya nchi kunatokana na vikwazo vya kibiashara na tozo…Soma zaidi….
