UHURU MEDIA TRAINING 2026

Liberty Sparks, in collaboration with TGNP and other stakeholders, invites young journalists and aspiring media professionals to participate in a free journalism training during Uhuru Economic Week, to be held on 23 March 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The training aims to enhance reporting skills, deepen understanding of economic issues, and build journalists’ capacity to produce stories that stimulate public debate on policy and development.

Participants will learn how to write and produce stories that inform and contribute positively to society. They will also gain skills in developing analytical stories, opinion pieces, and investigative reports. The training will help journalists understand how the media influences public discourse on policy and development issues, while also learning from experienced journalists through real-life case studies. Practical sessions will include crafting headlines, news angles, and mock reports on economic issues, alongside networking opportunities during coffee breaks and breakout sessions.
